- Late Alley oop send Voyageurs back to playoffs -

Late season games always bring even more energy as for some playoffs implications are important. On this day, The Voyageurs, set to surprise the FBA early on the year, was still battling to secure their ticket to the big dance. And against a tough opponent such as the Summit, who was still trying to contend to be higher on the top of the West, it was not going to be easy.

Tonight thought, the Voyageurs were playing like the team they knew they were. Thanks to a great game by the bigfurs Pierre Caro and player of the game Kevin Malka, they contained Leon Delmont and Daniel Quvianuq enough that while their numbers were decent,(20 pts for Delmont and a 14/14 double-double for DQ), it had taken more to step over the game as the rest of the Summit team wasn't able to support them further on the score sheet.

This game could easily have gone the other way thought, as right at the very last possession of the fourth quarter, The Voyageurs had the ball, trailing 94-93. With time running out, Yves Carbonneau dribble the ball on top the the key as the entirety of the fans in Riverside Stadium was on their paws. DQ fouling out seconds ago prove crucial as Kevin Malka found the opening at the rim as Yves dished a Alley oop buzzer beater that send the whole crowd into a maddening frenzy. Once again late heroics From The Voyageurs key players came through in the clutch and now are pacing themselves for another trip to the playoffs.
