Vuk Stevović (Stevovich per American spelling recommended by his former GM), was one that was dealt an interesting lease on life at first. Born in a Serbian family relocated to Lugano, Switzerland as the tensions in the region were at an all-time high, the weasel quickly had to make do living in a big family and a small household with his extended family. With his many cousins, finding ways to entertain himself wasn't really that difficult, being raised bilingually in Serbian and Italian, and finding his way around the town and the diaspora of ex-yugoslavians around. Being recommended to stay fit from very young, the mustelid quickly took in having an outdoorsy lifestyle, prioritizing exercise and sports.
The weasels moved back to their home in Belgrade in 2007, quickly managing to build back on what they left. Vuk's lifestyle, however, has carried on to more intense and risky behaviors, between urban exploring and faking IDs to enter nightclubs around the city. To straighten their kid up, his parents quickly set him up in basketball lessons after school. While at first it was proven you couldn't keep a weasel from escaping, Vuk quickly took the classes seriously once he managed to literally run circles against other kids. The weasel rose through the ranks, and at a point he was advised to take into the EFBL camps so to kickstart a career and channel that talent into something productive. It was a no brainer, and once Vuk turned 16, he was soon finding himself being a team member of Metalac Belgrade in no time, travelling around, and gaining experience quick. The FBA was always in talks, but the Serbian mustelid always waffled or avoided the question until later. But once his contract was up, and the team showed no signs in picking him back up (rumored less to be lack of talent and more about giving the right push), the declaration quickly came, as he was soon to travel to America and make something out of him and out of Serbia.
