The Tennessee Moonshiners outlasted the Lorain Firestorm in a showdown between the FBA's two biggest losers. Lucas Dupre (Red Fox, G) opened the game by sinking two long balls in the first five minutes, putting the Rum Runners ahead by 5 and setting the tone for the rest of the game - Tennessee relinquishing the lead just briefly at the end of the first half.

Ultimately, though, the Moonshiners' bench proved to be the winning factor, allowing the away team to stretch their lead to 8 after Erich Haber (Mink, F/C) was whistled for fouling Doug Day (Golden Retriever, C) on his drive, allowing the canine to complete a 3-point play by sinking his free throw. A valiant late run by the Firestorm was then hampered when rookie small forward Edwin Griega (Canada Goose, F) strained his neck after an incidental contact. Timbit was not the same after getting back on the court, missing all four of his following shot attempts. Lorain could have legitimately gotten back into the game after Dupre botched an open 3-pointer with 3.9 left on the clock, but they'd already ran out of time outs. Leonardo De Hugo (Lion, G) then missed the half-court buzzer beater, sealing Tennessee's first win of the month.
