Mika Mishima (born July 20, 1997) is a Japanese-Taiwanese professional basketball player for the Dakota Bikers of the Furry Basketball Association (FBA).

Biography

(( Drakken will most definitely refine this sad boring bio. Just y'all wait!))

Mika Mishima was born in Taichung, Taiwan, and is of Japanese-Taiwanese descent. His parents, constantly traveling around because of their figure skating careers, enrolled Mika at an early age in an elite Cambridge boarding school.

While at the boarding school, the tanuki was easily able to make friends because of his upbeat and bright personality. Yet sometimes he found himself up at nights; wondering about his parents latest escapades, if they missed him, and, overall, missing them.

To try and make better use of his free time outside of his academics, Mika decided to try the various sports offered at the school. What drove him to sports was his desire to get his mind off any lingering, negative thoughts he could have had of his parents. Instead, he'd put his focus towards excelling at a sport to make his parents proud. It was soccer and basketball in which he found a stronger calling than others. His speed, agility, and finesse made him a success at both sports. After playing throughout his time at the boarding school, he was scouted by the elite Chao Academy who awarded him a full scholarship based on his skills in basketball. A scout from the academy remarked, “Basketball in the end was where he found the most enjoyment and seemed to have his heart more fully invested in. We see him having a brighter future in that sport and, in refining his skills more, think he could be a great addition to our team.”

When his parents heard the news, it was at this time they finally decided to take it easy and slow down to support their son in his own efforts, rather than their own as they'd been doing for so long. After the decision, and Mika’s excited acceptance of the scholarship, the Mishima family moved back to Taichung.

Once Mika started playing in the Asian League, his jollier, fun-loving attitude towards the sports changed to being more focused and ambitious. While it goes to say he was already more mature than others in his age group, realizing that being a pro basketball player was his goal, he decided to shift focus fully on being the best player he could possibly be. It was his full intent to be as renowned in his sport of choice just as his parents were.

While in the league, Mika worked to secure his place on the team and established himself as the team captain. It was with open arms that his team accepted him. Not only had his peers seen his talent on court, they'd also seen it off; the tanuki seemed to have a knack for motivating those around him.

On the court, he dedicated himself to being the least selfish player there. He racked up rebounds and always positioned himself where he could set up his teammates for points. Off the court, he worked hard to set up team functions and activities. Anything he could think of that would bring up team morale: he would gladly set up. It even became a tradition that, twice a week, he would make lunch for the entire team.

Now, with his parents urging, it seemed time this Asian league star set his goal to the next level; the FBA. Mika always loves new challenges, especially those he knows he can overcome with determination and hard work.

Watch out, FBA!

Mika Facts that Drakken just couldn't figure out how to incorporate into the bio:

-Speaks with a British accent, due to spending most of his young life in England, despite being of Asian background.

-Very polite and reserved nature until he gets to know someone
