Biography
Felecia's story began with simple politics. Her father Enrico was a diplomat from Peru to Brazil, interested in trade and cooperation between the countries. Unfortunately what he didn't know was that part of his mission involved some illicit trade, that would come back to haunt them all in the future. With his time in Brazil, he fell in love with a maned wolf activist named Bruna. The two of them had a fiery affair through the late 1990s and one thing led to another- Felecia was born in 2004.
Things were going well for the Kataguris for a few years when the issues surrounding Enrico's diplomacy reared its ugly head. His partners were involved in illegal trading and while he was clean, he still had plenty of rivals who were interested in getting ahead in life. The carbomb that blew through the Kataguris' house killed Enrico and hospitalized Both Bruna and Felecia, scarring the girl while putting her mother in a coma.
Felecia was sent to Miami to live with relatives of her mother, where a thriving Brazilian expat community was already living. Her aunt and aunt in law did their best to raise her especially with the funds that her father's estate sent on, but she was still closed in and especially being a gangly awkward girl in an unfamilar land even with a Latin flavor to it.
Felecia's aunt in law Hilda, a scrappy badger lass who was homemaker while her wife Graciela was busy being a TV reporter, took the young maned wolf under her wing. She was Felecia's mentor and surrogate mother while helping her through her issues, especially once Bruna slipped into a vegetative state and was ultimately taken off life support when Felecia was just 13. Hilda just tried harder, helping spark interests in reading and the arts.
However, it was a hobby of Hilda that seemed to have an interesting effect on Felecia's future- the badger was a big sports fan. Basketball especially- Hilda was a huge Typhoons fan and slowly but surely passed the fandom to Felecia as a way to bond. Felecia was slowly enthralled, especially noting the tall and athletic female furs much like she wa growing into being. It gave her a sense of belonging for the first time in a very long time.
Over the next couple of years, Felecia developed her interest and skills in basketball, slowly making her way through her high school team and eventually signing up to Claiborne University, both to keep closer to home and also with the school's basketball pedigree. Eventually she was able to even get on the starting squad, making it to the 2023 FCAA Tournament even if they were bounced out on early rounds.
Felecia is quiet and bookish, still self-conscious due to the scars on her body. She has started to come out of her shell thanks to college, even modelling in a few bikini pictures in a way of therapy, but she still is still reserved.
She has developed well in her athletics, also using her speed on the Claiborne University track team, but basketball has been her top choice with her speed and height giving her a hard edge on shooting and blocking.
