Biography

Lisa Dunphy was born 10 minutes before her twin sister Lauren on November 17th, 2000. Some would say that this is where their sibling rivalry began. Their father, Christopher Dunphy would say they were probably playing 1 on 1 in the womb the whole nine months. Regardless of when it started, the Dunphy twins were always at odds with each other and always challenging each other to see who the better twin was. Who ate the most, who slept the longest, who ran the fastest, who jumped the highest, who’s hair was better, they even had a competition of who took the most breaths in a day. Lisa says she won that one. Still, with all the challenges these two competed in, they never wanted to see that, even with some slight differences, they were pretty much the same. To focus on Lisa Dunphy, she is known as the “talkative” one. Since she was little, she relied on her words and her charm to get the things she wanted. At 6 years old she was already tricking her mother into giving her sweats and having every boy she met do whatever she wanted. Her smooth style seemed to follow her as she grew up when a great number of boys would line up at the Dunphy household claiming to be Lisa’s boyfriend. Her father did not take this so kindly though. I bet you’re wondering why add this in the bio right? Well, it is true that during they’re younger days they were quite troublesome and their personality still reflects this, but once they started playing basketball, the trouble went away, but it was to be replaced with even more competition. With their father being a coach of the popular basketball school, Atwood College, they had plenty of players to study from and the best coach to teach them...or so they thought. Christopher grew up with the game of basketball just as much as his daughters, but he was also fearful of what the game would do to their lives. Christopher coached and taught many young stars before, but too many ended up as FBA bust, or just couldn’t stay out of trouble. Christopher knew his daughters were working hard for that dream, but he was scared that it would end in a horrible way. He couldn’t watch his daughters go through that. So they begged, but Dunphy constantly refused and forced them to focus on school, until one day where Christopher caught the girls sneaking onto the court during the team’s pre-game workout. Initially, Christopher was getting ready to punish them both, but he stopped once he saw that both Lisa and Lauren were able to make the three point shots from the college three point line...at 8 years old. It was at that moment where Christopher knew, basketball was in there blood.

Christopher never went easy on his girl’s training. Even teaching them his 100-shot drill...which they hated, but their father’s training made both Lisa and Lauren offensive monsters. Excellent three point shooters, reliable jump shots, even able to get some quick points in the paint. On top of that, their time in the gym helped them to become athletic and high flying dunkers. The twins put on a show every game in high school, but they still had one major flaw...defense. “The Dunphy twins are incredible to watch play” said their high school coach, Alfred Johnson. “They can shoot the lights out whenever they wanted to and would basically have a dunk contest between each other every game. The only thing they were missing was defense. It’s great that they can score 30 points, but when you let the other team score double that then it don’t mean nothing”. Christopher constantly tried to help them understand the importance of defense and said they would never win a championship with the way they played...that is until they did their senior year. Maspeth High school won the state championship with both Lisa and Lauren scoring 28 points. The twins continued to believe that offense was the best offense. Christopher says that the real world would be their best teacher. Going off a spectacular senior year, the twins found themselves accepting a scholarship to Winchester University. Their parents liked the school for their excellent academic programs, but Winchester really wanted the twins to revitalized their sports program that was falling short. At Winchester, the twins partnered up with another quality guard named Catt Tolsino, a bunny from Italy. Together, the girls gave the Winchester basketball team a new kind of reputation. They played rough, mean, and put on a show every night which led to them naming their group the “Bad Girls Club”. Together, the three of them helped Winchester become the 3rd best school in the country, the highest the school has been in years. With their names now well known and their YouTube videos going viral, the “Bad Girls Club” set there sights to the FBA draft, but the Twins had quite a lot of trouble convincing their father who still wanted the girls nowhere near the FBA. In the end, their mother Linda helped them sign up telling Christopher that “You weren’t at all qualified to be an FBA coach, let alone a GM, but someone believed in you and you proved yourself...now it’s your turn to believe in them”.

Aside from her twin sister, Lisa Dunphy is more talkative and sociable. Never afraid to speak her mind and trash talk on the court, she can use her words wisely. Lisa is also know for taking the leadership role in most situations and one of her main goals is to lead a team to a championship just like her father did when was a college coach.
