Biography
Ada was a natural-born swimmer (his name even meant ""he is swimming""). His husky build was actually a benefit to his skill in the pool. Growing up, especially during the summer, he would represent the local swim team, and always come up with first ribbons. As he grew older, he started to realize that winning at something you had raw, natural talent for wasn't always fun. He decided to work at something new, something he had to grow to be good at. He began to take interest in a sport he was absolutely terrible at: Basketball.
He had a swimmer's endurance, but running up and down the court was an entirely different story, especially given he was also a little short for his age. He was absolutely dreadful at basketball, and he loved every minute of it. His jump shot was terrible, his dribbling suffered, and he had trouble getting past anyone guarding him. Most people encouraged him to go back to swimming, but one of the older kids at the YMCA took the time to ask him why he was doing what he was doing, and offered to help him get better. He pointed the otter toward the play stylings of Christopher Zwischenberger, a player whose passion was only rivaled by his appetite.
As time passed, Ada sunk every one of his free hours into learning to be a better basketball player. Shooting hoops, watching every game Zwischenberger ever played in; eventually he started to get better. By the time he'd entered High School, most people had forgotten that the short, chubby otter had been a champion swimmer. Instead, ""Fetch"" was known for his basketball skills, especially as a ball thief and precision passer; a rather effective point guard.
By the time he hit college, he'd finally had a growth spurt, and transitioned from being a Guard to a Forward, having better height to throw his weight around. Although Florida Midwest University was skeptical about the large otter trying out for their basketball team, he impressed them with his ability to throw his weight around. ""Aggressively hippy"" was a good way to describe his offense skills, using his thick rudder and wider hips to his advantage to get around his opponents to find an open lane to the basket. His contributions as a team player and a ""get it done"" attitude were enough to make him a crowd favorite by his senior year, and no one was surprised when he declared his intentions to go for the FBA draft.
