Biography
Daphne's a sloth, and she kind of seems like the walking stereotype of her species when you first meet her. She's almost chronically 'chill' in temperament, and while she'll take part in conversation, a lot of it is very low-key acknowledgements or nods and shrugs. Her teachers were often frustrated when they first started teaching her, because she engaged so little in anything they set out for her.
As soon as you put her into a situation where something needs to get done, though, she just... executes. During tests at school she would just look blankly down at the paper for almost the entire testing time, and then in the last minute or so turn into a flurry of movement. When she has to get somewhere she waits until the last possible moment to leave, and then she powers her way to her destination.
This translates well to her presence on a basketball court. She'll hang back, seemingly out of position. Then, as soon as there's an opening or a space that needs to be filled, she's there, and ready to contribute. Her skills drew the attention of international scouts, who all reported the same thing: they were ready to walk out of her games at first, until she suddenly started moving.
Since going to university and playing in the States, she's developed a viral online following. Videos of her playing often circulate on social media, and reaction videos to her seeming motionlessness followed by flurries of movements draw countless views.
