Biography
Frederick Butane Alexander the First "Being the best is mandatory."
Born into a family of gamblers, Frederick's economic upbringing was one of constant fluctuation. Having gone from struggling in the slums at age 3, to penthouse suites at age 7, to being forced on the run a year later, to mansion living by 12, to an inner-city orphanage at 15, Mr. Alexander knows more than most what a crap shot life can be. "It's always been me vs the world, and I always win."
While having an ever-changing lifestyle has led to his parents not always being in his life, his father being both a professional and underground gambler, leaving for tournaments and shady deals. Nor having a steady stream of income, competition, was something that glued itself to Frederick's fate.
"If you fall behind, you stay behind."
From an early age, Frederick came to believe that "if not everyone can have everything, then you must fight for anything you want, least it be taken from you." He claims to have always pushed himself to be at the top of whatever he was doing, be it tag with friends or school test scores but to do so by crushing whoever was already there at the peak of the mountain top.
"Anyone can be a king of a trash hill, a lot of people will be the best at something worthless, a select few will be the greatest at something that matters, but to prove absolutely you are the best, destroying those at the top, that's what matters.
Around the age of ten was when Frederick discovered his affinity to sports. Pool, ping pong, and basketball in particular were strong points for him choosing to place bets on free throw shots and in pool holes. Often winning enough to keep a secret stash of cash for himself. "I've had too many meals snatched from my mouth to ever let it happen again. Even if it was just once."
Having been forced into differing economic states, due to his father's gambling, many believe Frederick decided to use athletic talents to gain financial stability, but he says that's not the case.
"I just hated seeing these boys claiming they were the best at everything when they clearly weren't, then they would challenge me to do some...dumb little thing, and of course I would beat them. It's just...when you realize you have greatness, true, honest, raw greatness, only to have someone else who clearly doesn't just............ it irks me to see garbage at the top when you know you were distended to be there, you know? But it's even worse to be the best by wasting your effort against nobody's."
Seeing the wealth of opportunity to participate at a top level, Frederick focused his time and attention into honing his basketball skills exclusively, as he thought this route would bring him not only the most fame and wealth, but to prove, not to himself, but the world, that he was the best.
"Everyone will strain their neck to see me at the top."
Boastful though it may seem, Frederick's records speak for themselves. Not a single loss in his first year of high school basketball, quickly moving to be team captain and point guard. His style garnering the nickname The Cunning demon for his often daft combination of aggressive straight forward pushes, with careful almost seemingly random tricky movements and passes. Even during his last three years of high school the losses the team had came with him scoring most the baskets, due to in part to his inability to pass the ball to his team.
"I trust teammates, I trust myself more. I won't let my life be gambled away by someone else."
His dominance in high school, flourished ever further in college, with nary but a few stumbles, mostly again from his lack of trust to his own team.
"No one else is going to live my life for me, no one else is going to take the blame, shame or heartache of defeat either. And no one else is going to be as good as me too. I am not here to be the best, nor to be the greatest of all time. I will be best that ever will be. Simply because I can be."
