Dear Mrs. Kellogg,

Congratulations on the increasing income you'll be receiving to provide for yourself and your family as a result of this bidding war. I'm glad that if nothing else, I've helped get you a bigger payday.

I actually love a good back-and-forth between sharp minds in a battle of strategy and wit. I respect Bangor's GM's shrewdness, both in realizing your potential value as a piece to build on for the future, and for their tactical business strategies in offering a front-loaded contract, which they know I cannot match over two years since I am limited by the salary cap in 2026, plus anything that harms a conference rival helps them double. Honestly, bravo. As a savvy businesswoman and competitor myself, I would've done the same thing.

In response, because I don't know when to quit and because I think you're worth it, I can add a third year to the deal, the last two years of which exceed the current two year offer by Bangor. I believe you'll only continue to get better, Mrs. Kellogg, and therefore, committing a third year is justified in my eyes. It will give you a bar to match as you improve over the course of the deal, which I have faith that you will.

I'm making this my final offer, Mrs. Kellogg. If you decide to go Bangor, or if they decide to give you even more money, then I wish you the best of luck and you will be financially set either way.

However, if you decide to come to Tallahassee, then I hope you're ready to work and earn that contract, because we are aiming for another championship trophy and we're going to need you to ball your tail off to get it done. Are you up to the challenge, Mrs. Kellogg?

All the best, whatever choice you make.

Regards, Sarah Lancaster Tallahassee Typhoons GM
