Biography
If there is anything that you can say about Julian, it is that he worked all for everything he wanted to do for all his life. Born from modest coffee farmers in Ponce, Puerto Rico, He worked diligently with his brothers and sisters to help their parent’s business. Their parents were just and kind hearted, ready to try everything they can to help their kids aspire to a great future. It came one day where the father asked if any of their kids wanted to venture into something else like maybe get a better education or perhaps go through sports. While the father had a fondness for Baseball, Julian would step up and ask his father if he could take time to improve in his favorite sports: Basketball. It was a surprise for his father, but he agreed to help build a fund for him to go on basketball seminars, just as long as he continued to help them diligently. Julian would not disappoint his father.
While continuing his work at the coffee plantation, Julian would do his best to have good grades in school, as well as use some of his free time to play with his friends and watch broadcasts of the San Juan Mets, the professional Basketball team on the island. Julian’s love for the game and his main goal was simple: He was a big fan of Vera La Tierra, which was a FBA icon and a famous athlete in Puerto Rico and even since he participate in a special seminar from her when he was a little kid, he hoped to do her proud and perhaps be the next puerto Rican standout in the FBA. The amount of dedication he gave to studies and hard labor has shown in his basketball skill, as he showed peak physical condition and would make him a peak athlete, a literal rock on the court, showing no fear and attacking his competition to get those hard fought baskets under the rim. Eventually all the hard work paid off, as he was eventually soon picked up by a scout of the San Juan Mets, offering him an entry level contract as a rookie. As soon as he arrived in the COCAAFB, He begun to show promise and showed that there was perhaps a diamond in the rough, as he would become a solid bench reserve and provide offensive spark and moxie for the team when it was time for the bench to come into play. Earning several rookie accolades, he was perhaps even a candidate for the National team in the upcoming olympics….but it wasn’t meant to be.
As soon as his career seemed destined to gain traction, Puerto Rico was hit by a tropical storm, which not only did a lot of damage to the island, but severely messed up his family Coffee plantation. Out of duty, Julian would then withdraw from his team to return to Ponce in order to help his family rebuild. Touched by his commitment, the team would pitch in and give a hand in helping him rebuild his family business, but also being a major factor in offering help and relief to Puerto Rico in these harsh times. The team also promised Julian to help him anyway he could to keep working hard on his talent, as well as dispatching scouts and FBA representatives in order to not let that hidden talent go to waste, with hopes that he would be picked up by declaring eligibility for the 2024 FBA Draft. Working on a coffee plantation, he knows the ins and outs of making a good coffee and also really hate anything related to steerbucks. One of Julian's prized possessions is a photo of a young him with (and signed) by Vera La Tierra at one of her many meetups and seminars during her career.
