Terrick Tick Chomske ( Son of immigrants Artyom and Katya Chomske ) was born in the small town of Lake Hughes,California.
Because of the low population density, Terrick had very little opportunity to interact with others, but on one occasion, the son of a family acquaintance brought a basketball and taught him the fundamentals of the sport. Terrick immediately loved it and would spend many spare hours in which he would shoot hoops from many angles, distances and obstacles.
A few years later, when his father was promoted and relocated to the city of Valencia, Terrick started participating in summer basketball camps. Now that he was around many more people, he soon found out that he was not as good as he once thought himself to be. He certainly knew his way around a basketball, but team dynamics were a new thing for him.
By time Terrick was in High-School, he was quickly promoted to center position and used his height as a great advantage, but at just under 180 pounds (at the time) he was a featherweight. He was frequently knocked about and battered at the starting Jump ( out for one season when he was knocked on his tailbone). To make up for that, he decided to learn how to exploit the other teams' mistakes, often leaping for and recovering otherwise unrecoverable balls.
