Hugo Flynn is an American scaly-foot snail professional basketball player for the Lexington Pioneers of the development league of the Furry Basketball Association (FBA).

Biography

Dedicated & hard-working, the Flynns were a working class family, his father, uncle and grandfather were all undersea welders for oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Despite being away for weeks at a time, they made sure to be actively involved in Hugo's life when they were around. Being the younger sibling, Hugo didn't have the initial pressure that his older brother had in continuing on in the family trade. While Hugo grew up with an interest in engineering, one day at school he got challenged to join in a basketball game by a group who were down a player and needed someone to fill in. Despite being picked because the players thought he'd be a handicap for the team he was on, Hugo was determined to do his best. In that game, while he wasn't the best offensively, defense was where Hugo shined. Using his larger size to his advantage, also taking advantage of the stereotype that his species were all slow, Hugo's ability to block shots, steal the ball and stop players from rushing to the basket gave his team just enough of an advantage to win the game by two points. From then on, Hugo knew what he wanted: to keep playing.

Hugo kept doing well both academically and on the court. Eventually, his coach floated the idea of Hugo trying to go pro, and get into the FBA. He was unsure at first, but as he considered it, he knew that he could make it, and keep playing the sport he learned to love.
