The League Committee is a new management body for the Furry Basketball Association established in the early part of the 2013-2014 season. Created in response to an abuse of power by the Commissioner, the League Committee stands as a final authority in resolving conflicts within the FBA and allowing for assets or history of the project to be removed. The LC will have five active members of the FBA community (including the league commissioner(s) since 2017) with equal voting authority and standing regarding all canon changes and disciplinary actions. These members will be elected by the members of the FBA community to a 1-year term. LC elections will be held every year before the start of the next season without term limits on the members.

The LC will also serve as administrators and moderators of all FBA-controlled spaces, both virtual and during physical events, and may appoint deputy moderators as the organization needs. (The commissioners still retain the sole right to operate and make changes to the FBA engine, including determining game results based on that engine, applying selected boosts by the FBA community, and will be the tiebreaking decision in the rare instance of a deadlock vote by the LC.)

A majority vote from the LC can override decisions made by the commissioner(s), and only a majority vote from the LC can remove assets from the FBA against the wishes of the creator. All retcons must be approved by a majority vote of the LC as well.

2022-23 Season

In preparation for the future retirement of one/both of the Co-Commissioners, the Community held a vote for a Deputy Commissioner. During this transition period Co-Commissioner votes are only worth 1/2 each while Deputy Commissioner has a full vote. As well a community vote for the tenth LC was held in August 2022. The results of that vote selected three contributors on the 2022-2023 FBA League Committee:

2019-20 Season

For the new Committee the specific positions were removed and returned to how it had been handled prior. A vote for the seventh LC was held in July 2019. The results of that vote selected three contributors on the 2019-2020 FBA League Committee:

2018-19 Season

Following a vote from the community, the Committee slightly restructured with the formation of a Co-Commissioner setup. Rourkie returned and FadedForest was promoted from Deputy Commissioner to Co-Commissioner. A vote for the sixth LC was held in July 2018. The results of that vote selected three contributors for the positions of Publications and Statistics Coordinator, Ombudsman, and Event Coordinator, on the 2018-2019 FBA League Committee:

2017-18 Season

Following a vote from the 2016-2017 Committee, Rourkie was selected as the third Commissioner of the FBA starting the 2017-2018 Season. With this election, there was a restructuring of the Committee with the creation of specific roles. FadedForest was selected by the Commissioner to serve as Deputy Commissioner. A vote for the Fifth LC was held in July 2017. The results of that vote selected three contributors for the positions of Publications and Statistics Coordinator, Ombudsman, and Event Coordinator, on the 2017-2018 FBA League Committee:

A vote for the Fourth LC was held in August 2016. The results of that vote put these five contributors on the 2016-2017 FBA League Committee:

A vote for the third LC was held from August 1st and ended on August 14th. The results of that vote put these five contributors on the 2015-2016 FBA League Committee:

2014-15 Season

A vote for the second LC was held from August 5th and ended on August 17th shortly before the combine challenge. The results of that vote put these five contributors on the 2014-2015 FBA League Committee:

On 10/19 TrianglePascal stepped down from the LC. JTigerclaw was appointed by the remaining members of the LC as his replacement. On 5/25 Jadedfox stepped down from the LC MigeYeFoxe was appointed as her replacement. On 5/25 Mitchell Redding stepped down from the LC. itsamadworld919 was appointed as his replacement.

2013-14 Season

A vote for the first LC was held on Sunday, December 15th. The results of that vote put these five contributors on the 2013-2014 FBA League Committee:


Jadedfox stepped down from the LC for personal reasons. Foxx was appointed by the remaining members of the LC as her replacement.
