Biography
Emily Jackson, the younger sister of twin baseball players Melanie and Sophie Jackson, was born to Paul and Nancy Jackson in Alpharetta, GA in 2000. Paul Jackson, a former baseball player, instilled the values and tricks of the game to his three daughters when they became interested in his old gear and watching old clips and games on the Internet. While they bonded over baseball as they grew, Nancy encouraged them to branch out to other things as well. Emily took to that the most, adding basketball to her repertoire.
When it came time for her to play in real games in the Pup Leagues, Emily found herself less coordinated in actual competition compared to her sisters. She was a bit clumsier on the field and had a handful of errors, so she mainly played first base where she didn't have to throw much. Her father tried to help her, and she improved, but not as much as her sisters did.
Despite this frustration, it didn't really ruin her relationship with her big sisters. They always tried to encourage her and their natural ability to howl and awoo helped them bond and entertain others.
By the time Emily reached high school, she had started to shoot up like a weed, soon dwarfing her shorter sisters by a foot. The natural height she gained allowed her to improve on the basketball court. Despite her initial clumsiness, her baseball time taught her to react and pay attention to her surroundings and she began to perceive the court better. Steady improvement overall and a stellar scoring touch her senior year earned her a scholarship to Atlanta Technical University. To honor the bond with her sisters and to match their professional numbers, she took the jersey number 3.
At ATU, Emily developed a solid three point shot and a smooth inside game, preferring layups and dunks, with her mid-range shots needing a bit of work. Her defense is all-around solid, if unspectacular, though she can come up with a clutch block or two.
Emily hopes to join her sisters in the professional ranks and would continue her dedication to work hard to keep the sporting tradition of the Jacksons thriving.
