The regular starters of the visiting Voyageurs were a well-oiled unit that outclassed the new bloods of the Alphas in every category, leaving the Albany home crowd extremely disappointed at the 49-point massacre.

Once again Coach Rourke Danyals chose to protect his veteran stars Rodger Umaechi (Husky, F) and Walter Robinson (Hyena, C) but left the young Lance Wildfyre (Rabbit, G) on the floor to provide some semblance of leadership among the rookies and bench players. The short and stocky lapine went scoreless in his ten minutes of play, letting top-ranked rookies René Lacoste (Jackal, G) and Viran Kivar (Jaguar, F) dictate the offensive flow for the starters. While both were able to pull down 9 rebounds each, the jaguar had 4 more costly turnovers to the jackal's lone turnover. Veterans Riley Forgets Nothing (Raccoon, G/F) and Craig Reinhardt (Black Panther, F/C) led the bench efforts with 11 and 16 points, respectively.

Despite a dominating 20-point gap after three quarters, the Winnipeg club allowed their superstar Zoie Wilds (African Hunting Dog, G) to work the majority of the game as she soared to a Player-of-the-Game-worthy double-double with 27 points and 12 assists for the night. Big bunny Dirk Von Stryker (German Giant Rabbit, C) poured in his own rebound double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds, while the rest of the starters also scored in double digits. Recently acquired Cutler Briar (Porcupine, F) spent his limited minutes on the floor well, going 2-for-2 with 5 rebounds and a block. "Backing up Mike Lee (Puma, F) again reminds me a bit of our time back on the Dakota Bikers," commented Spike in the post-game interviews. "I know that me and Mikhail Lobochevski (Musk Deer, F) may have to fight for that spot, but we'll do what is best for the team."
