Biography
There is a saying that when God made someone, they decided to bless them in every single way except one. And for Timothy Svengaard one could definitely make that case. Except the one thing he's lacking in is his brain. Timothy is a phenomenal athlete, but he's not exactly all that bright. His entire high school career as well as his time spent in college he needed a full time tutor to just keep him to barely passing his classes and we wasn't trying for anything particularly hard.
His mother, Doloris, pushed hard for him to partake in sports from an early age, intent on having her little Timothy be the hometown star. But his low intelligence made a lot of sports almost too challenging for him as he would keep making simple mistakes. Eventually when he started to grow rather tall his mother decided on putting him towards basketball, in part because it was the one sport he had the least problem with performing and not getting into too much trouble.
That isn't to say his coaches didn't have a hard time teaching him even some of the more basic fundamentals. When he grew tall enough that he could actually reach the rim when jumping it took his coaches about six months to teach him not to goaltend. And learning complicated plays is definitely almost certainly out of the question.
But he was able to learn simple plays and could perform them flawlessly. When told to do something simple, like "stop this player from scoring but don't foul" or "set the screen for this other player" he was a monster on the court and would at times be almost scary in his execution of them. During this past year in college whenever he was on the court he would pick up on average about forty percent of all the balls the other team failed to convert, and about half that percentage when grabbing balls his own team missed.
Offensively he was a lot more average, not so much because he lacked the physical prowess to do what was needed. Surprisingly fast for someone of his size and really great at throwing his weight around he could do really well at medium and short ranges. Long range his has a little more trouble due to lack of practice. But his offensive capability issues stem more from that, though possessing the physical aspects needed to do great, his low intelligence made him somewhat easy to read.
Off the court being raised as he was by his mother he has a tendency to prefer the company of other herbivorous species. He doesn't have any specific issue with predators, it's just that he believes that eating meat is a sin and will take every change he can to try and enlighten any carnivore of that fact in the hope they will amend their ways.
