Coaches Schumacher and Trassel both gave the defense the night off, their teams going for a combined 267 points... and 4 blocks. What else can one say about a game where the home team slowed down in the fourth quarter and scored 'only' 34 points? Or where rookie Wayne Kirkpatrick (Tasmanian Devil, F) went 4-for-4 from three point country and was still only the third highest scorer on his team? Rookie Terrence Tolliver (Pronghorn, G) notched another well-earned PotG, while Silas Rand (Squirrel, G)'s 24 point performance had the hometown crowd chanting "Crystal who?" by halftime.

RECOVERY: Scott Parsons (Otter, G) has been cleared by Edmonton trainers to return to the Totems active lineups for their next game.
The Wildcards visited Edmonton for the first game of the second series of meeting Mountain Divisional opponents. Despite having a depleted roster of four injured players, including their star Rocky Couture (Lynx, G), the Totems fought fang and claw hard from start to finish at overtime. Rookie sensation Siegfried Romanoren (White Lion, C/F) scored 33 points and snatched 17 rebounds, keeping the Totems' hopes alive but the Wildcards fought back just as hard, led by Player of the Game Alejandro Salazar (Prawn, C) with his 18 points, supported by strong numbers by Clyde Everly (Pig, C), Alonzo Murillo (Black Panther, F/C) and William Keen (Coyote, G/F), and the Wildcards came out with a three-point win in one of the most toughest games the Wildcards experienced so far this season. The Mountain Division may have a weak start in the season, but they have proven themselves not to be pushovers.
